MCM's Newest Move: Selling Commentary Direct To Users

McCarthy Crisanti & Maffei Inc. (MCM) has begun offering a direct data feed which it is marketing to clients who prefer not to go through third-party vendors, such as Bloomberg, Dow Jones Telerate and Reuters.

According to newly hired vice president and director of product development and systems coordination Thomas Dercks, MCM intends to market the feed only as a "last resort -- if the firms don't have access to any of the other vendors." Still, the release of the feed certainly won't improve
