IMD Reference: Bloomberg Takes Lead Share
Although at the time of their merger, Thomson Reuters overtook Bloomberg in data revenue and market share, Bloomberg's data business-which constitutes 86 percent of the company's overall revenues compared to 63 percent of revenues for Thomson Reuters-grew by 12 percent during 2008, compared to 8 percent growth at its rival.
IMD Reference editor David Anderson says Bloomberg still has further room for growth if it can tap revenues from datafeeds and foreign exchange data, though he notes that
