GMSH SELECTS ORC

Orc's market connectivity to the local Kospi200 Futures and Options and KRX cash market enables GMSH to facilitate the trading of Orc's worldwide algorithmic customer base for their high volume, high performance trading needs, officials add.
TULLETT PREBON, ORANGE EXTEND DEAL
Interdealer broker Tullett Prebon has selected Orange Business Services-Trading Solutions as its supplier of voice and data network services, vendor officials have recently announced. The deal will link Tullett Prebon's U.S., European and Asian trading rooms via Orange's Etrali Trading Network (ETN), supplying voice and data services and providing more voice quality, fail-over redundancy and alternate routing capabilities, officials add. The deal extends an existing relationship the broker formed with Orange to provide support for trading in Asia and Europe.
BNY CONVERGEX UPDATES BLOCK CROSS
Global agency broker BNY ConvergEx Group has recently added symbol-only indications (SOIs) to give users trading in the ConvergEx Cross a new approach to finding block liquidity, according to officials. The new functionality consists of ConvergEx CrossBoard, a graphical user interface (GUI), that displays ticker symbols in order to give clients a snapshot of the liquidity available in the Cross.
ICE BUYS CREDITEX
IntercontinentalExchange (ICE) has acquired the electronic credit derivatives trading platform provider Creditex Group for a total of $625 million, comprising approximately $565 million in ICE common stock and $60 million in cash, as well as a working capital adjustment to be finalized at closing, say bourse officials. Upon the closing of the transaction, which is expected during late third quarter, Creditex Group will become a wholly-owned subsidiary of ICE, operating under the Creditex name. Based on recent results and expected synergies, the transaction would yield $9 million to $14 million in total pretax synergies in 2009, according to officials.
ALERI, INNOTAP PEN CEP DEAL
Complex event processing (CEP) technology vendor Aleri has recently announced a partnership with Innotap, provider of real-time complex event monitoring, alerting and decision-making software for energy trading, say officials. Under terms of the deal, Innotap plans to power its RealDeal real-time decision lifecycle management system by using Aleri's CEP platform. Aleri's CEP engine will enable RealDeal to continuously analyze real-time data feeds so it can alert a trader instantly when a targeted business condition is detected, and facilitate an immediate response.
