Bank Consortium to Build Unregistered Securities Platform

The initiative will compete with existing systems, such as the one created by Goldman Sachs, according to a report last week in The Financial Times.

Goldman Sachs has recently signed up hedge fund Oaktree Capital and private equity firm Apollo Management to sell unregistered shares through its GSTrUE private e-trading system.

These alternative investment exchanges represent an opportunity to provide a continual price, which is important from a risk management point of view, says Bob McDowall
