Fimat to Develop Margining Module

Fimat, a wholly owned subsidiary of Société Générale Group, might develop the new technology internally or look for an outside vendor, according to Douglas Engmann, the North American managing director for equities at the brokerage.

"The technology [for convertible bonds] needs to be more sophisticated than what we have now," Engmann says. "This will be a big expansion [for us] in 2008," he adds.
