When the Securities Industry Association indefinitely postponed its deadline for reaching T+1 settlement following Sept. 11, and the Global Straight Through Processing Association’s virtual matching utility crumbled a year later, it looked like the end of the industry-wide STP initiatives.
In fact, even Omgeo has seemed to downplay its VMU product--the sole remaining VMU--over the past six months and emphasize the fact that it has many other products on which to rely for revenues.
