The head of Third Party Sales says Liffe Connect has transformed market data. By Paul MacGregor

In 1998, the London International Financial Futures Exchange launched an electronic trading platform called Liffe Connect. The platform soon attracted the interest of vendors keen to tap its open architecture.

But market data executives quickly realized that in order for Liffe Connect to be a success, the exchange needed a program of qualification and active management for these software houses.
