Smartkarma Opens London Office to Grow European Buy-Side Research Base

Arzish Baaquie, who joined Smartkarma in 2014, will head the research provider's new UK office.

Smartkarma currently has more than 400 independent analysts based across 15 Asian markets. It plans to expand across Europe and add local, in-country coverage.

Arzish Baaquie, who joined Smartkarma in 2014 and previously led its special situations offering, will spearhead the vendor’s growth in the UK. Prior to Smarkarma, Baaquie spent three years advising on various transactions across Southeast Asia at TC Capital, a boutique investment bank focused on mergers and acquisitions .

He says
