Goldman Sachs Exec: While Valuable, Alternative Data Still Poses Challenges

There is no "golden nugget" of information that will unlock value; the entire workflow is important, according to Goldman Sachs' Javier Rodriguez-Alarcon.

While many firms are improving how they bring alt data in-house to help with trading decisions, challenges still exist. And while valuable, alternative datasets can’t perform miracles, and the process for handling this information is still paramount.
