Goldman Sachs is headquartered in New York.

Elisha Wiesel, the chief risk officer of Goldman's securities division, has been named its chief information officer, replacing R. Martin Chavez, who was promoted to chief financial officer of the firm.

Don Duet, the head of the firm's technology division, also announced his retirement. John Madsen and Umesh Subramanian will replace Duet, serving as co-heads.

Wiesel steps into the role during an important time for the firm as it looks to draw in more business from quant funds following an overhaul of its technology, according to a report by Bloomberg.
