Validis Hires DTCC's Walters

Former sales head named chief commercial officer at data start-up

Leigh Walters is now chief commercial officer at Validis, a financial technology company aiming to transform the way auditors and lenders engage with their end clients.

Walters is responsible for revenue growth through increased adoption of Validis' services.

Prior to joining Validis in November 2015, Walters was managing director and global head of sales and partners at the Depository Trust and Clearing Corporation. He has held prior roles at DTCC and Thomson Reuters in the US and Europe.

Validis is aimed at institutions that lend to SMEs. Extracting data directly from the business' accounting package, Validis supplies financial information on-demand to the lender.
