IRESS appoints Sancenot Head of Euro BizDev

Appointment is part of IRESS' strategy to expand its trading community in Europe and the UK.

Lionel Sancenot has been appointed head of business development at IRESS and will be based in London.

The Financial Markets business is a core division within IRESS, providing market data and trading software and services to institutional and retail clients. According to the firm, this appointment is part of IRESS' strategy to expand its trading community, leveraging its experience and service delivery capability and continuing to build its presence in the UK.

Sancenot, who will be based in London, has over 15 years' experience in trading and post-trade solutions, most recently as executive vice president of trading within the Capital Markets division at SunGard, responsible for global product strategy. Previously, he held a number of director positions at GL Trade, playing a role in developing and implementing new business initiatives, most notably in Asia, Europe and South Africa.
