Singapore Investor Buys 10% Markit Stake

UK-based data vendor Markit has sold a 10 percent stake in the company to Singapore-based private equity investment group Temasek, for a reported $500 million, to help drive the vendor's growth in the region. The remainder of Markit, which is privately held, is owned by employees, institutional funds and investment banks.
