Aganbegyan was previously president of the Moscow Stock Exchange, where over several years between 2008 and 2010 he supervised the merger, including technology integration, of Micex and RTS. He was also operational chief in Russia for Renaissance Capital for seven years, and has held roles with Credit Suisse and Clifford Chance having graduated from Moscow State Law Academy in 1995.
