Email in the Cloud Tempting, But Elusive

When it comes to sending functions to the cloud, email archiving is the siren song of software-as-a-service (SaaS). It calls out to you, so close you want to jump from your boat and touch it. But beware the rocky shores that can claim the life of an overeager IT sailor.

At the Buy Side Technology North American Summit, a discussion emerged about the tantalizing prospect of sending regulatory archiving duties to a SaaS provider.
