Greene is set to replace current CEO Kevin Hesselbirg, who will now serve as Vice Chairman of the board after six years in the top spot, and 13 years overall at the energy and commodities trading specialist. Hesselbirg stepped down from the chief role in July.

Greene comes to OpenLink from Fair Isaac Corporation (FICO) where he was CEO for five years, and served previously as vice president for financial services, sales and distribution at IBM. His Ph.D. from the University of Michigan is in economics, with specialization in econometric modeling and advanced analytical techniques, expertise which he hopes to bring to bear in furthering the firm's position in its capital markets and corporate sectors.

"We are delighted to welcome Mark as OpenLink's new leader. His background in managing large enterprise software businesses, and his deep understanding of analytics, business intelligence, and risk management, make him the ideal person to lead OpenLink's next phase of growth," says OpenLink Chairman Brad Henske, managing director at Hellman & Friedman, the private equity firm of which OpenLink is a portfolio company.
