Singapore Exchange (SGX) has announced plans to collaborate with UOB Bullion and Futures Limited (UOBBF) on a new professional traders development center to start training traders in the futures market, as well as overseas traders looking to expand their knowledge of the Singapore market.

Slated to open in June, the center houses contemporary trading simulation technology and will allow participants to test and refine their trading strategies using real-time market data. They will be taught how to employ multiple trading strategies in the equity futures market including directional trading, relative value trading, and event-driven trading.

The center is part of SGX's broader effort to inject more professionally-trained traders into the industry and enhance trading standards.
