• US online government bond trading portal Tradeweb has appointed Roger Jones chief executive of the platform's new European subsidiary. In his new role, Jones will extend Tradeweb's coverage of European government bond markets, which will be competing directly with Euro MTS. Jones was previously managing director of the Chicago Mercantile Exchange's London office. Prior to that, he was at Deutsche Morgan Grenfell, where he was head of European marketing.
