Tibco-Talarian Leaves Messaging Market Open

Tibco’s acquisition of Talarian leaves only three other viable players in the messaging market for financial services: Spiritsoft, Sonic Software and stalwart IBM’s MQ Series (TTW, Jan. 14). And while the deal may signal trouble for the pure-play messaging vendor, it may also encourage interest in Java Message Service (JMS)-based applications.
