Knight-Ridder Layoffs Cut 15 In Asia Pac, Including Aussie Chief Rosenthal

As expected (D&IS, 23 Oct.), Knight-Ridder Financial has laid off 125 people worldwide--10 percent of its work force--and reassigned a significant number of others. Asia got off relatively lightly, losing just 15 of the 125 cut. But three of the 15 departing KRF's Asia Pacific organisation are senior managers, namely Brad Rosenthal, general manager for Australia and New Zealand, Kem Murphy, regional director for technical operations and Asia Pacific director of finance John Rollings.
