Rico Chan, First AFE MD Under Reuters Regime, Quits Post; Reuters Taps Own Tan to Replace Him

Rico Chan two weeks ago resigned his post as executive director of AFE Computer Service Ltd., the Hong Kong-based provider of low-end equity quote services in which Reuters took a majority stake last year. Chan left after heading the company for just five months.

He has been replaced by Tan Wee Seng, a Reuters veteran who last year had acted as managing director of AFE while Reuters sought a more permanent director for it acquisition--the post it hired Chan to fill. A native of Malaysia and
