State Street Corp. named John A. Fiore chief information officer and head of its Information Technology Group reporting to David Spina, president and chief operating officer of State Street. Fiore succeeds James MacDonald, who, according to a prepared statement, "is leaving the firm to pursue opportunities within the technology industry." Fiore joined State Street in 1992, and most recently served as chief information officer for State Street Global Advisors (SsgA), the investment management
