Karl Adey has left Instinet to join CheckFree Investment Services in the newly created position of vice president of technology. CheckFree created the position because it wants to consolidate and streamline product development, rather than manage these functions on a project basis. An eight year veteran of Bridge Telerate and Dow Jones Markets, Adey had been the director of Instinet’s market data services for the last year. Aday was responsible for distribution of market data.
