As AAP, Reuters Prepare To Part, Lots Of Questions Remain

It all sounds so simple. As of 1 Jan., 1996, Reuters Holdings PLC will sell and support all its own information services in Australia. As of that same day, AAP Information Pty. Ltd. will sell and support its own line of AMQ domestic information services, in the country and anywhere else it likes. But there's some complicated untangling to be done before the two former partners can end the nearly 50-year distribution agreement that gave AAP exclusive rights to market Reuters information services
