Cognotec Branches Out With Hires, Investment And New Americas Unit

DUBLIN--Cognotec, an electronic trading vendor, has begun a major expansion with new hires, new sources of investment, a new division for the Americas and a new offering for the Internet.

The Dublin-based company has hired John Beckert, a senior member of the Electronic Broking Service (EBS) for foreign exchange transactional services, as president of a new, wholly owned Cognotec Americas subsidiary, and is receiving a "large investment" from the private equity firm, Warburg, Pincus & Co., to aid
