As expected (IMT, April 26), State Street Bank & Trust has agreed to acquire equity order-routing and matching service Lattice Trading from CS First Boston. The transaction was driven by the three parties' mutual recognition that Lattice was a better fit for State Street than for First Boston in light of Lattice's dedication to a multi-broker approach to order routing.
