Software-as-a-service-based (SaaS) compliance solutions provider Opus Global has acquired business information provider Alacra, and intends to integrate Alacra's compliance data, especially know-your-customer (KYC) information, into Opus' Hiperos Third Party Network, according to company officials.

"As the regulatory burden on financial institutions and corporates gets more intense, you want to make sure the customer isn't doing anything bad," says Steve Goldstein, CEO and co-founder of Alacra.
