Single Sources of Proof Gain Traction in Canadian Market

Risk and regulatory concerns have contributed to the rise of "single sources of proof" for data management in the Canadian markets, according to Toronto-based Naveen Balakrishnan, director of electronic trading capabilities at BMO Capital Markets, who spoke at the Toronto Financial Information Summit on July 12.

"It's the idea of pulling together across banks—especially across capital markets businesses in banks—single repositories, so firms have a good handle and traceable handle on their risk
