UBS Exec on the Benefits of Self-Service Data Usage

In a presentation at the Frankfurt Financial Information Summit this week, Sandeep Mehta, managing director, head of enterprise services, at UBS, explained the bank has implemented a self-service model for data usage, by eliminating cottage industries that often sit between central IT staff who build data warehouses and the people who use the data.

Here he explains that the model gives business users better access to the intelligence they need.
