Risk and data management debates seem to be more intertwined than ever. But while discussions suggest this is the case and firms start to embrace the need for growing collaboration between risk and data teams, risk data programs have yet to find the momentum they require.

Research released by regulatory think-tank JWG in May, which reached out to 20 risk, data and finance professionals in 16 global financial institutions, revealed that while risk data is considered a pertinent issue, in practice
