Hedge funds at core of outsourcing trend

The trend in outsourcing back-office services is forecast to continue in 2007, with hedge funds set to drive an interest in application service provider (ASP) solutions. A study by UK data provider Datamonitor reveals that hedge funds frequently outsource many elements of their IT infrastructure, often due to a lack of resources or the ability to maintain an IT department in-house.
