Ipreo Sells Hemscott Arm to Morningstar
The deal comes less than a year after Hemscott merged with i-Deal and Marketpipe to create Ipreo (IMD, Jan. 1, 2007).
Morningstar is currently putting together a detailed integration plan and reviewing how to combine Hemscott's data and operations with its own assets, which will result in the creation of a new business unit that focuses on global equity data. The unit will include the Aspect Huntley business acquired by Morningstar last year that covers news, research and equity market data in
