ADP Hires IBM To Service Brokerage Clients

IBM last week agreed to provide clients of Automatic Data Processing Inc.'s brokerage services unit with site preparation, installation, maintenance and support services. The arrangement follows on the heels of Quotron Systems Inc.'s sale of its customer engineering operation to Phoenix Technologies Inc. on July 14 (MTR, July 24, 1989).
In contrast to Quotron's service unit spin-off, however, ADP has hired IBM as a subcontractor, sources close to the company say, paying IBM a fee to provide
