Quotron Beats Out ADP In Quest For Broker's Notebook

Quotron Systems Inc. has agreed to acquire Haverford, Penn.- based American Financial Systems Inc., the company that makes Broker's Notebook, a popular portfolio management software system for brokers. As part of the agreement, AFS president Stephen Christiansen will become a Quotron vice president in charge of PC front-end product offerings. Other terms of the deal were not disclosed.
While the acquisition of AFS may be a coup for Quotron, it is something of a blow for Automatic Data Processing
