Reuters Sued by Redistributor

Reuters is being sued by Samanet, the Greek company that redistributes Telerate data within Greece, Spain, Cyprus and Portugal.
Samanet held a contract with Telerate that was inherited by Reuters when it bought Telerate at the end of 2004 (IMD, Jan. 3, 2005). But last November, Reuters informed Samanet that the contract was expiring as of Jan. 6, 2006.
On Monday, Jan. 9, Reuters cut off the Telerate feed and blocked customers' log-ins. Dennis Dowling, Samanet's in-house counsel, says Samanet sent
