Equinix Calls Karl for Americas President Role

Before joining Equinix, Strohmeyer was group vice president for network provider Level 3 Communications' North American enterprise group, and held a range of management positions during a 12-year stint at Level 3, prior to which he served as executive vice president of operations at internet service provider NetRail (which was sold to Cogent Communications in 2001) and EVP of corporate development, and held various sales and business development roles at telecom provider BellSouth (now owned by AT&T).

At Equinix, he reports to chief executive Steve Smith.
