State Street Taps Moody's Vet Stein for Analytics Offerings

State Street has hired Roger Stein in New York as chief analytics officer of its newly-created State Street Global Exchange data and analytics business, with responsibility for all aspects of new product offerings, and for developing new products to support clients' trading strategies, investment products and risk management functions.

Stein was previously president of Moody's Research Labs, which served as an incubator, research and development arm of ratings agency Moody's, where Stein spent more than 20 years, including as co-head of research at credit analytics division Moody's KMV and as managing director of the managed funds group at Moody's Investors Service.

In his new role, Stein reports to Jeff Conway, executive vice president and head of State Street Global Exchange.
