Credit Suisse Veteran Trude Joins Chi-X Australia
Former Credit Suisse Australia CEO David Trude is now an independent director at Chi-X Australia. His had served as CEO of Credit Suisse in Australia for 10 years, as well as a board member of the Stockbrokers Association of Australia.
In addition to his new role at Chi-X, he also acts as a consultant to Credit Suisse, a chairman of broker EL & C Baillieu and a panel member of the Australian Securities Exchange (ASX) Disciplinary Tribunal.
"Preparations for the entry of Chi-X have been very thorough to date and have encompassed the broking industry, suppliers, regulators and investors, both established and new," says Trude. "As Chi-X gets close to commencing operations and preparations intensify, I look forward to working with the Chi-X team and trading participants during this exciting time."
Chi-X Australia is preparing for its imminent launch in the Australian equities market after Oct. 31, following approval from the Australian government and regulator to operate an exchange. Traditionally, the ASX has enjoyed an exclusive hold the country's equities market, which is now due to change with the advent of competition.
