Funke Kupper Takes Lead of ASX
The management of ASX Limited, the operator of the Australian Securities Exchange (ASX), has tapped Elmer Funke Kupper to be the company's newest managing director and CEO.
Funke Kupper is expected to begin his role on Oct. 6, 2011 taking over from departing Robert Elstone. His appointment starts before the expected Oct. 31 launch of local competitor Chi-X Australia. This will be the first time that ASX will face a challenger in the Australian equity market.
