Chaired by Mark Blundell, a former senior executive at derivatives exchange operator CME Group and interdealer broker Tullett Prebon, and now a consultant to GMEX, committee members include Matthew Evans, head of data sales at Swiss broker Tradition; Paul Ribbins, head of the risk management services division at Tullett Prebon; Huw Davies, portfolio manager at Old Mutual Global Investors; Sandy Broderick non-executive chairman of GMEX; and Richard Metcalfe, director of regulatory affairs at buy-side industry body the Investment Association.

The Committee, which has complete autonomy independent of the day to day activities of GMEX, will provide participants and partners with confidence in the indexes that underpin the derivatives contracts traded by GMEX, Metcalfe says. "The committee is one visible part of GDI's commitment to ensuring a robust, accurate index management process," he adds.
