US Exchanges Close as Hurricane Sandy Batters Eastern Seaboard
All US equities and options exchanges have closed all trading -- including remote electronic trading operations -- Monday, Oct. 29, in response to bad weather and flooding expected to result from Hurricane Sandy, a category-one hurricane that is expected to make landfall in New Jersey later today and cause destruction from the Carolinas as far north as New England.
