BNY Mellon Upgrades AccessEdge for Collateral Monitoring

Bank of New York Mellon on Wall Street
BNY Mellon is the world's largest custodian, and manages over $1.8 trillion in collateral transactions on a daily basis.

The upgrade provides broker-dealers and institutional clients access to the data through an online portal. AccessEdge facilitates real time collateral transfers for collateralized transactions such as repo, securities lending and over-the-counter instruments. The product now displays real-time information on aggregate positions, substituted cash collateral, margin excesses and deficits, as well as matched status for open transactions.

"The enhancements to our AccessEdge portal make viewing collateral positions simpler and clearer, increasing transparency for our clients and helping them to make optimal use of the collateral and assets at their disposal," says James Malgieri, executive vice president for Global Collateral Services at BNY Mellon. "We have proven global capabilities when it comes to servicing our clients' collateral management needs and we continue to innovate and invest in the technology to support those capabilities. This latest evolution of AccessEdge demonstrates our commitment to supporting our clients as the regulatory environment continues to develop."
