ICE Preps Low-Bandwidth TCP Datafeed
The exchange made the bandwidth-optimized TCP feed available via its test environment on April 19, and will roll it out into live production on July 1. ICE officials expect the new feed to reduce subscribers' bandwidth needs by between 45 and 60 percent. Trading firms and vendors that require low latency can migrate to the exchange's unnetted Multicast feed, which has been available for two years and will be around 50 milliseconds faster than the TCP snapshot feed.
