Instinet's Sanderson Is Retiring, Atkin Is New Chief Executive

NEW YORK--In a move that had been anticipated for some months, Reuters announced that Michael Sanderson, president and chief executive of its Instinet subsidiary would retire at the end of the month. At that time, he'll also leave his post as chairman and chief executive of Reuters America Holdings, but will stay on as the North American subsidiary's non-executive chairman of the board through December 31. No word was available at press time as to Sanderson's plans after that date.
