Chemical Skips RFP, Pits Reuters Against Teknekron In Pilot Race For 450-Position N.Y. Trading Room

In its effort to provide a new trading room system for its 450 traders, Chemical Bank has skipped the request for proposal process and moved directly into head-to-head evaluations of Reuters' Triarch 2000 and Teknekron Software Systems Inc.'s Teknekron Information Bus (TIB).
According to trading room technology head Peter Fischer, the bank intends to install pilots of the two vendors' data distribution systems in the next three weeks. Demonstrations will take place in November, and a final
