Fund Managers Are Still Lukewarm About Electronic Research Delivery

LONDON--Despite the widening use of electronic research, fund managers still consider telephone calls from sell-side analysts as a more effective means of getting information about investments and the markets, according to a recent survey Reuters published with Tempest Consultants.

Some 78 per cent of the respondents preferred the telephone, while 73 per cent preferred on-line research. Paper research delivered via the mail was preferred by 66 per cent, while 52 per cent of the respondents chose
