DrKW Ports Yolus to HP Lintel Servers

LONDON—Dresdner Kleinwort Wasserstein (DrKW), the investment banking subsidiary of Dresdner Bank, has ported a risk management solution from Yolus to a Linux-Intel architecture, leading to a replacement of Sun Microsystems hardware with Hewlett-Packard servers, officials tell DWT.

As a result of the move, the firm is realizing annual savings of approximately 45 percent in the cost of running the Yolus application, according to DrKW officials. Yolus is a software spin-off of DrKW.
