Reuters Opens Dealing 2000-2 To Thin Volume, Trader Raves

Many moons and many millions of dollars after the idea was conceived, Reuters Holdings PLC's Dealing 2000-2 electronic order-matching system for foreign exchange went live last Wednesday. With some 70 trades executed on the first day, traders said they like the system, although initial volume was thin.
At the launch, there was a total of 19 banks participating at 22 sites in London and New York. But of the 22 sites, only five were located this side of the ocean. And four of the 19 banks are
