'Undervalued' IPC Hires DMG, Denies Rumors Of A Sell-Off

VENDOR STRATEGY

Flat financials, losses to competitors and the hiring earlier this month of investment banking firm Deutsche Morgan Grenfell (DMG) have fueled speculation that IPC Information Systems has been bought or is up for sale, say industry observers. Others say the company will at least undergo a major restructuring.

Explaining that the move was to "enhance shareholder value," the vendor is evaluating, with DMG's help, potential alliances and partners, according to an April 2nd press release.
