McGraw-Hill's Standard & Poor's is boosting its emerging markets fundamental data with the purchase of the Emerging Markets Data Base from International Finance Corp. (IFC)--the private sector arm of the World Bank Group. The database stores equity-based data related to developing countries. As part of the agreement, which is expected to close by the end of the year, Standard & Poor's will operate the stock market indexes from IFC, incorporating them into its family of indices.
